The same thing happened some fifteen years ago for the Tafazzin protein, discovered by an Italian team.

"Tafazzi" was the name of a comic character rather famous on TV, who did absolutely nothing but singing stadium chants while... but I think an image is better than a thousand words.

I think SHH will always be my favorite one. Though, I do kinda side-eye the silly names.
