Flashback: Psych The Musical
Today (7/7) marks the 8 year anniversary of the series premiere of Psych, so what better way than to rewatch and enjoy everything that Psych the TV show is in one musical journey.
I watched the musical on a plane (I actually paid money for it on iTunes like a good fan) and it was INTENSE. It did not help that I was sleep deprived and forcing myself awake so I wouldn't be jetlagged and that a plane while the lights are off and everyone around you is sleeping is creepy and also I'm a complete scaredy cat.
After a second rewatch on the plane ride back, I was more composed. I think as a stand alone movie type event, it was great. Some of the singing was a little awkward (I'm thinking mostly of the beginning of I've Heard It Both Ways), but the mystery was solid. I loved seeing Yin and Mary reunited, though the circumstances were sad, and I was touched to see how Shawn dealt with Yin's death.
But of course, this really was the icing on top of the cake:
