Psych Season 8 premiere date set!

Hi all! Long time no update, I apologize! We are only *SIX* days from the Psych musical and I couldn't be more psyched

Since USA canceled Necessary Roughness and Burn Notice is gone, I'm hoping that they end up tacking on another 7-10 episode order to season 8 for the summer. They've done well with that formula for White Collar, Royal Pains, Covert Affairs, and Suits, and I think they'll probably want to keep a successful anchor to debut some of their new shows. I've also noticed new Psych merchandise at the NBC store so it seems like at least it's a fairly good moneymaker.

The only issue would be if Psych's ratings slide even more downhill, but I think it's encouraging that USA upped two extra episodes to the original S8 order

Is season 8 actually going to be the last season?! I know Maggie's new show on ABC has been cancelled, so maybe that bodes well for more episodes of Psych?

It's unconfirmed for now, but I think if it were truly the last season of Psych we'll find out before the premiere airs. Since Psych has been a huge part of USA original programming they would definitely want to give it a proper send-off with lots of promo hype instead of airing all 10 eps and leaving it ambiguous

Yay! It's always nice to have a date set. So it's 10 episodes instead of 8...I can deal with that. On the other hand, I totally forgot about the musical so thanks for the reminder! Glad it's after my exams end.
