How can he be both an Ayn Rand fan and religious zealot on the same time?

Rand disliked Christ for his stance on poverty...and Ryan likes him despite it?

Yes. I think politicians can preach whatever they find helpful to get some more votes.

Look at Glen Beck. It's about cherry picking parts of your ideology to fit your world view.

In an Ideal World the label of a populist will be a stigma for politicians who preach whatever ideology or religion.

I am also a fan of Ayn Rand and I feel anger towards populist who use her name to gain some political weight while their own views are in an utter contradiction with her doctrine. They create the connection in minds of the mob between the liberating ideas of Objectivism and sociopaths like Paul Ryan. He has no right to claim himself to be her fan.

Yes. And invoking her name when they have no understanding that she would never support their outsourcing, corporaions, governmant bail-outs, playing the stock market, and catering to the shareholders as true capitalism.

Are they? Objectivism is just attractive for greedy and selfish persons because it justifies them. But it doesn't implies every objectivist to be either of them.

Objectivists who aren't sociopaths are basically aspiring sociopaths, whether they think of it that way or not. Some of the primary diagnostic criteria of sociopathy (and really, the most awful traits) are exactly what objectivism calls for in an ~ideal person. The best objectivist would be a sociopath.

Ok. And this does explain why guys like Paul Ryan don't even try to mix their objectivism with rationality. Being a compulsive liar is a common trait of sociopaths.

I hope your analysis doesn't apply to all libertarians. Many of them look nice and their speeches are sweet. Anyway, liberty is good, isn't it?

Liberty is great, which is why objectivism - which touts a two-dimensional form of superficial liberty that ignores context and the way the real world works - is a terrible philosophy.
