PHOENIX - Arizona’s ban on abortions starting at 20 weeks of pregnancy is poised to take effect this week as scheduled after a federal judge ruled Monday that the new law is constitutional.
I got this from Wiki so I don't know how legit it is plus it's from 2003 but I was curious after your comment because I didn't know at what time frame most abortions occur. I had an abortion myself years ago, it was relatively early in the pregnancy for me and none of the girls in there were near 20 weeks except for one girl who was 16 weeks. In 2003, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that 26% of abortions in the United States were known to have been obtained at less than 6 weeks' gestation, 18% at 7 weeks, 15% at 8 weeks, 4.1% at 16 through 20 weeks and 1.4% at more than 21 weeks. So not really relevant to the post but in case anyone was curious like me, also since it's wiki and I'm tired anyone feel free to provide more current accurate statistics.
This law is just a stepping stone to outlawing abortion completely.
They're just chipping away, bit by bit, at Roe vs. Wade. Now it's 20 weeks, and if there isn't too much protest, then it's 15 weeks, then 10, then 5... then one day it's a total ban.
Because women who have second-trimester abortions are clearly just doing them for shits and giggles. Not because the 18-week ultrasound showed serious abnormalities or anything like that.

Isn't that pretty much the only time they happen anyway? This law is just a stepping stone to outlawing abortion completely. Fuck off, AZ.
