Tea Party: The New Jub Creators. Send Moar Money.

Vetting Themselves: Breitbart Gang in Yet Another Ridiculously Massive Fail
Their own founder declared he was “proud to be a teabagger”

OK, I’m now nearly convinced that the Breitbart.com gang are just trolling the Internets with these mind-bogglingly ridiculous VETTING articles. I mean, nobody could possibly take this kind of absurd, over the top propaganda seriously, could they?

EXCLUSIVE - THE VETTING - BARACK OBAMA, THE FIRST TEA PARTIER.

Well, it may be damned hard to believe anyone could be this strange, but they really are serious about this stuff.

Breitbart blogger John Sexton’s EXCLUSIVE BOMBSHELL: a photo that’s been available to the public for 15 years, showing Barack Obama leading a Fourth of July parade in 1997, in a Revolutionary War era costume.

Sexton wants his audience to believe that the costume makes Obama exactly the same as a Tea Party member. Let the sheer stupidity of that one sink in for a minute.

The rest of Sexton’s hilarious derp-filled piece is basically an extended whine about those monstrous liberals who mocked the Tea Partiers by calling them “teabaggers.”

Monstrous liberals like, oh, for example, their founder Andrew Breitbart, who declared in May 2010 that he was Proud to Be a Tea Bagger.

A screenshot of Andrew Breitbart’s brave, forward-thinking declaration of teabaggishness:

Breitbart’s post still exists on the new Breitbart.com, but oddly enough, they seem to have removed his byline from it: I’m Proud to Be a Tea Bagger.

Tea Party Patriots: Stupid, Or Corrupt?

The Tea Party came into this world the same way a baby does; screaming and crying. Mainly they screamed and cried about the deficit, taxes and fiscal responsibility. It turns out, when it comes to spending, they’re still babes in the woods. Their latest IRS filing shows the Tea Party Patriots took in more than $12 million in fundraising, so how did only $3.4 million of that go to their actual ‘mission’ programs?

Mother Jones obtained the Tea Party Patriots’ full IRS filing, and it’s an abject lesson in how fools and their money part. The most damning evidence is found on page 20, shown here:

Here you find MDS Communications, a telemarketing firm that took in on behalf of the TPP $680,581.00 , a tidy sum. Sadly for the cause, they charged $665,581 for their services, leaving the fiscally hawkish TPP, $15k. Then there’s the $1.4 million that was given to the Richard Norman Company, for “fundraising counsel,” a figure made more remarkable when you learn Richard Norman, is now TPP’s national finance chair.

You’d think he could have given them a discount.

But it doesn’t end there. Mother Jones reports the Tea Party Patriots also spent $758,000 on its own salaries, $587,000 on travel, as well as $250,000 in legal fees that mostly went to suing other Tea Partiers.

For the vast majority of people who identify with and donate to this movement, those would seem like some pretty generous amounts of money these people are helping themselves to. But most of them will probably never know. Their names and financial information are shared with slick fundraising outfits and ‘counsel’ who make very nice livings off of them. Then they take that money for personal use, and to lobby for the slashing of social programs, that might be the only safety left for the people they’re cheating.

Like taking candy from a baby.
