HOUSTON - The mother of a child with cerebral palsy is preparing to file a lawsuit. She's outraged after she says New Caney ISD told her five-year-old daughter she could no longer use a walker at school.

I guess they're having a tizz about the risk of the child falling. Which happens, but then all kids fall every now and then.

Um, it's not in Houston. It's in New Caney. The story was covered by a Houston news station (a Fox station, sadly).

As native Texan, I'm often embarressed by my state. But Houston, generally, is a much more sane place.

Isn't this against IDEA? My parents had to fight tooth and nail to give my little sister the education that she deserved. I really hate how they treat children with disabilities.
