Thank you. I just moved to Tennessee and I am unhappy about this.

I'm sorry that you had to move there. I did a project where I had to read the Memphis news every week, and the state by and large sucks ass.

no, it's a reaaaaaaaaally shitty way of doing it. they post the names of abortion providers in towns with a small number of people + the date the procedure was done, which nosy assholes then compare with people who took the day off work. this is how it worked in Oklahoma and why people were so outraged - they were being harassed whether they had an abortion or not, simply because they didn't come in to work on a day that an abortion was performed.

I WISH I WAS KIDDING.

This already passed in Oklahoma (and I THINK got repealed later? can't recall.)

Guess I'll be spending more quality time harassing Haslam.

Harassing Haslam is time very well spent. I hate that smug, smarmy douche.

Why don't they just shoot the doctors and unwomen and hang them on the wall?

Honestly? That might happen if the names of the doctors are published. It's not like doctors providing abortions haven't been attacked or murdered before.

I think they hanged them in The Handmaid's Tale.

I similarly want the names of every man who gets a Viagra prescription, every person who doesn't vaccinate their children, every person carrying Hepatitis C, and every person who seeks fertility treatments.

Since we're destroying privacy for women, let's just make it a party and know everyone's business.

I think you may be on to something. Vaccination is a REAL public health issue, unlike, for example, how many children I don't have.
