I heard about it but reading the deets about it is giving me heart warming fuzzies. :)

I know Americans would come a long way if a gay/lesbian/bisexual couple which one is a Yanks fan and the other is a Red Sox fan can cheers either in NYS or Fenway for a happy prosposal.

They might have seriously dicussed about getting married. These things aren't something you go in lightly. But turning down at these events isn't unheard of either.

I like to think it was something that both were anticipating to get hitched while still surprising her. Chances are she probably knew a little about it in some form.
