Are you atheist? If you're not, maybe she wishes you were because that's the only thing that ever seems to happen to Catholic school alumni. We turn out atheist.

Yup, pretty much. Never really believed in Catholicism growing up in it but Catholic high school cemented that feeling. Finally stopped going along with the charade once high school was over.
My theology professor (an ordained deacon) for all four years thought I would eventually go into Holy Orders to become a priest because I aced all of his classes and even his supposed "impossible" electives that I enrolled in for shits and giggles. I would have liked to have seen his face when he added me to facebook a couple years after high school, lmao.
So she wants you to see the Church so up close and personal you doubt it really represents anything it's supposed to stand for, meet some clergy who repulse you, including priests who all girls avoid because of wandering hands, meet other clergy who are leaving because they can't stand the Church anymore either, have bullying by your peers ignored by your teachers, and watch your classmates have sex without BC and then have abortions on the sly?

LOL, yes. Or in my case, cautiously recovering.

Which I think that wasn't what Catholic school had in mind.

Because that was my experience.
