YES! i live in winnipeg and the crime here is crazy. hell, i'd even go for a military police batman since i live on the base. maybe thats what the forces should do with the JTF unit. dress them as super heroes and send them off to fight crime.
i like the idea of the superhero being a recognizable beacon for lost children. sometimes, if you call the cops you get in trouble, police mess things up and make things worse(not all the time, but it can happen). superheroes save the day.
the writer of this piece really loves his alliteration, lol.
The details aren’t finalized but the Brazilian Batman won’t be dealing with things like shoplifters and purse thiefs, he’ll be helping fight the serious issues of murder and drug trafficking.
this doesn't seem like it will end well. It's all fun and games until someone shoots Batman with a sawed-off shotgun.
I guess the article was pretty vague, but I was imagining that they'd be using him in more of a violence interrupter type role rather than an actual crime fighter. But that's only my hope I guess, cause otherwise....
yeah, it was pretty vague, but I am having a hard time imagining any capacity that deals with things like drug cartels being safe. >_> Maybe if they just have him speak out as an advocate, but getting directly involved... yeah.... everyone shoot first at the guy in the goofy costume.
No direct involvement indeed. He's not trained for that and even if he was, no way anybody would actually let a cop dress as Batman for work here in Brazil (for both security and code reasons), especially not in the MilitaryPolice.
(btw T.O. Batman scared the living shit out of me a couple days ago. I came around a corner and I got a of beef jerky smelling MY PARENTS ARE DEAD! blast. Like inches from my face.)
I didn't get on the video, his partner was having an issue with his camera or something. But I guess my reaction, which was *complete stop* and look confused at why I have beef jerky bits on my glasses, he went OH CRAP SORRY FOR SPITTING!
He's still awesome though. Still cannot believe I didn't get a picture with him though.
