I don't watch a lot of prime-time or even off-time news - i get it mostly online. I haven't seen much. My SO has MSNBC on in his Lair all day when he's home and he says he's seen a little bit here and there.
So - once again - the US news media ignores actual news and concentrates on garbage like Santorum and 'celebrity' stories.
I've seen some coverage on the evening news, although the primary elections here have been dominating the coverage. I've been seeing much more coverage online lately. I think part of the issue with television though is that foreign film crews can't really operate in Syria (it seems like in Libya, they were able to report from locations already in rebel control) and it's hard to verify the footage that is available.
I don't want us or any other country becoming embroiled in a war, but we - collectively - need to do something like was done in Libya and get this stopped. This is horrifying.
I hate that we *the US* talks on and on about peace and democracy, and yet we prop up dictators and ignore things like this, and the genocide in Africa, because it's not 'convenient' to oppose it.
But from what I'm hearing, Syria is more politically complicated than Libya was. Intervening there will probably mean war with Iran. That's why it hasn't happened.

Or is it because of a lack of oil?
