I guess it's *theoretically* possible that at one point in a halcyon past, being a gay Republican wasn't so eyeraising and smacking of self-hatred, but in the day of Rabid Jeebus Biblethumpers Who Hate Everything That Isn't Like Them, it's just completely mindboggling.

I am pretty impressed with how this article is written almost exactly as it would be in a world where their sex preference is not considered significant.

Seriously. It was such a non-issue that I thought the word 'he' was a mistake and read the whole thing again to be sure. Kudos to the journalist.
