A Change is coming...
ontd_political Members, why don't you have a seat over here - we've got some big news for you.
So, Livejournal approached us a few months ago, indicating that we were one among a handful of communities invited to participate in a promotional, as-of-yet-unnamed initiative. Their new initiative is essentially enhancing communities - better layouts, better promotion, an overall better community experience. All the moderators at the time discussed it extensively, weighing the pros and cons of accepting LJ's initiative invitation.
In the end, we thought the benefits outweighed any concerns and we're happy to announce that there are going to be some big changes in the near future.
The biggest is the new layout. On Wednesday ontd_political will look completely different. Now, today is Friday - why are we announcing this now?
We want you all to test drive the new layout and suggest changes. The mods have tried our best to suggest changes - but we figured that the aesthetic chops and imput from 10,000+ members would be highly valued, and help refine the style and format of our new look.
