All those replies are so Christian. Diffidently something Jesus would do. >.>

This kind of behavior is ridiculous. If they are really Christians and believe in God then they wouldn't act like such brats. So a mural or whatever was taken down. It's not the end of the world. These "Christians" need to stop acting like they're being persecuted. Because in the end they are persecuting everyone else for either not believing or believing in someone or something else.

Because Christians have never been shitty to people of different or no faith, right?

Well, if they were to apply "the Lord's words" they should "love their neighboor" and "turn the other cheek"?

I profusely disagree that this means they aren't true believers. Belief can mean people do crazy things- and not all of them good. Belief or dis-belief in any god, or the christian one does not mean good behaviour will result. But in these peoples case they're letting their own belief cause them to act like disgusting entitled brats- acting as if they're being persecuted and harassing and threatening this girl to boot. In the end atheists are called 'fools' in the bible, and some christians are brought up to believe atheists are evil little shits who deserve to burn in hell. That anyone who isn't christian or like them will in fact- and that is a good and just thing to happen. That kind of thinking can breed shit like this.

Granted as others have pointed out it is also ironic given the very nature of the prayer they want back up on the wall and some of the lines on it.

Sorry, I get frustrated when these type of things come up. I didn't mean to sound that all of them weren't true believers. I'm sure that many believe that what they are doing is right and that they may feel that they need to express themselves in this manner. But, at the same time, I wish some people would have some forethought on what they say. This kind of talk is very extreme. And it's sad that anyone thinks it's alright to write such things out.

Then again, if people thought before they spoke then this community probably wouldn't exist. D: The horror!

Nope. Nope. Nope.

Christian apologism doesn't fly here. Christians can really fucking suck, and honestly, a good majority do. When you say that they aren't real Christians, you make it easier for them to bully people.

I can see what he/she meant.
If they were to be Christian according to the "Book" they would turn the other cheek.
The fact that they retaliate show that they're only taking what they want from christianity.
And since this conduct has been around for centuries, now "being a true christian" seems to mean "being a true asshole" while book wise they're supposedly "forgiven", "loving their neighboor" "non-judgemental", blahblahblah...

I think that's what the user was saying. Maybe.

I'm sorry, but no. You can say that they're doing it wrong, you can even say that they are fractally wrong, but you can't say that they aren't really Christians.
