I posted it in another thread, but Hey Epiphora is simply the best for sex toy reviews.

I did not have an orgasm until I reached the age of 19. I had tried before, but I had been on various SSRIs since puberty, so I didn't even really have a sex drive at all. Once I was on Wellbutrin though, I finally went 'Oh shit so THIS is what everyone is talking about!!!'

It's been almost a year since that first orgasm, and just nowadays am I able to identify if I've had an orgasm or not, for sure. Because of fanfic and romance novels, I was expecting a LOT more. But now I'm able to identify it pretty well.

I own a Nea and an Ella from Lelo. Yes, they are fucking expensive, but are worth it. At least the Nea is, I just got the Ella and haven't been able to orgasm from it yet, but it's pretty damn awesome. I also use the Wahl back massager when I can't sleep, because having an orgasm really does help with that, at least for me.

THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT. When you buy lube, DO NOT BUY LUBE WITH GLYCERIN IN IT. It is known to cause yeast ( ... )

Why glycerin in lube can cause yeast infections:

It's normal to have small numbers of yeast (commonly Candida albicans) in the vagina. But other vaginal bacteria normally keep those numbers in check.

Putting glycerin in the vagina just gives all that yeast something to nom on, and this upsets the ~balance~ of the vagina, and can result in yeast infections.

In general, keep sugary stuff out of the vagina. This would also include whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and maraschino cherries. ;)

I did know that, but thanks.

And now I want an ice cream sundae. :P

Oop@me. I should have clarified. I didn't mean to imply that you didn't. I was kinda just adding it at the bottom for any science nerds out there who might not know. :)

yeah, even before I know that glycerin was bad for some vaginas I was like "why would you want to put sweetener in your vag :("

.......Mutherfucker.

Do "Propylene Glycol" and "Polyethylene Glycol" count? I saw "gly" and freaked out. eta: Hm, Im seeing all kinds of references to "sugar derivative" when I try to look it up, so I'll take that as a 'yes'. JFC, this explains SO MUCH.

(The brand I use also lists "Hydroxypropylcellulose" and "Lactic Acid", btw.)

Honestly, I can't remember. I'm pretty they are different things, I just know that Glycerin is more dangerous.

:( I just bought 6 ounces of lube with Propylene Glycol in it. Shit, man, that's a lot of lube. I can't keep throwing away lube. I can't let that all go to waste, I haven't even opened it.

The only non glycerin, glycol, and paraben free lube that I can find is this:

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. :(

Im still not certain about Propylene Glycol, but now Im officially paranoid. My lube does not list glycerin, but Ive had 2 YI in 5 months (and subtle but notable irritation in the days after I use my lube), so I'd like to think it isnt a coincidence. Ugh.

I have one of those "2-in-1" personal lube/body massage oil products; Im basically gonna keep using it for massages and keep it away from my sexy bits; maybe you can do that all of your lube? Ack.

Vegan lube investment, here I come.

I'm still gonna try with what I have, but yeah I'm paranoid now too. Mine isn't a 2 in 1, sadly. I'd get silicone lube but you can't use that with silicone toys. :(

I really don't want to chance it and get a yeast infection, but I really don't want to waste this ENTIRE FUCKING BOTTLE.

Aw,m rats. AND SRSLY RE: A WHOLE ENTIRE BOTTLE, JFC. :|

Thanks for the safe lube rec! Keeping to the theme, I also came across Sliquid. Apparently, Astroglide is hip to the game, too.

Never would have guessed lube shopping was such SRS BSNSS.

Yeah, there goes a whole bottle down the drain...well, in the garbage. I'm buying one of the safe lubes now, the one I linked.

Oh damn, and that has a nice flip top too. OH WELL.

Flip tops are Uh-MAZIN'. ;__; RIP, exquisitely packaged lube.

I'd rather have no yeast infection than a flip top, but still. ;___; indeed.

Try a silicone based lube? Wet Platinum is what I use and it's usually available in drug stores (Walgreen's here always has it).

you can't/shouldn't use silicone lube with silicone toys, and unfortunately that is all I have.
