Not related to the protester, but I was looking through the runners-up and saw Kate Middleton on the list. I'm always jealous of her wardrobe - she's got an amazing sense of fashion! And it doesn't hurt that she's gorgeous and married to a British prince... *le sigh why can't my life be like that etc*

I like Kate Middleton and all, but what has she honestly done other than look nice and get married that warrants being a "person of the year"?

One could argue that she and William have significantly raised the popularity/public opinion of the monarchy and royal family, which has taken some hits in recent years. But... not really sure that's enough to warrant it either.

Don't read the comments on the mothership then. All she did was marry rich, but some of the comments get way more bashing then that.

"She's not corrupt, give her an award!" or something along those lines.

If her having sleeves on her wedding gown cuts into that stupid strapless craze, I'll be willing to give her a pass.

Yeah, I know. =/ I can't even imagine all the scrutiny she's under. So maybe if I could just have the awesome wardrobe and the guy with the British accent and not have to deal with needing security 24/7 or whatnot... =)
