I don't agree with her politics, but I can't help but admire her for all of the shit she had to put up with as a woman of color in international politics.

Ditto.

Plus, compared to Palin and Bacchmann (however it's spelled), JFC.

she's an idol of mine.

republican or not, she's a woman of color at the top of international politics and governance and she was very well spoken, gracious and intelligent.

As a woman of color myself, I admire her greatly and hope to emulate her in my career.

Do you want to get into politics? (You don't have to answer, obv.)

She is a very, very strong woman, regardless of her politics. Strong PERSON I should say.

"she was very well spoken, gracious and intelligent"

If her actions in early 2000s are indicative of intelligence... We should overlook how her actions, personal beliefs, party and policies have damaged the world (and negatively affected people of color in the US)? No thank you.

By strong I mean, she did things and went to places I would have been way too chicken shit to, and I'm a white, straight, cis-female. I do not agree with her politics. But I can't say she's not strong simply because I don't agree with what she has done. Even people who commit heinous actions, can be strong.

She's got brains. Her views I disagree with, but suggesting that this makes her unintelligent is ridiculous.

Truth. I still think she got more than her share of the blame for 9/11.
