I'm sure they are assuming they are going to have to resod, and it sounds like it's less of a lawn and more of a parks that's a lot of sod to buy. Plus all the extra water at the beginning to get it to take root.

IKR? Quit using water consuming, high maintenance lawn grasses. Use ground covers, flowering plants- there are hundreds of possibilities.

THIS! We've only just started Occupying in Pittsburgh, but it's rainy fall here...I'd feel bad for the grass destruction if I didn't know how destructive grass lawns are.
