I don't know who that is, but that gif is so versatile! Context can make it mean anything from "I'm so done with this" to "I just laughed so hard I can't breathe" to "Don't worry, still atent dead".

It's poor Bruce Springsteen, who grossly misjudged the number of stairs between him and his audience one time.

As much as I love some of his early writing, his attitudes have turned me off from reading anything new by him for many years.

ikr, I used to love Ender's Game back when I found it in Gr.7, and then a couple of year later I got on the internet and BAM! a whole host of unpleasant truths came down on me.

Just reading further Ender/Bean books makes OSC's opinions really obvious. I didn't even find out he was a scuzzbucket until after a couple Bean books made me go "that is wrong and terrible, what's wrong with you, author?"

It's like, he can't not be a horrible human being.

I still love the Ender/Bean books despite full acknowledgment that OSC is absolutely a scuzzbucket. May I ask what you found objectionable in the books? Now I'm wondering if there's subtext I missed.

Wow, this got big enough to make ontd_p? I'm kind of shocked.

Also, I really want to sic Geoffrey Tennant on him

? What's not big enough about it?

Generally, this kind of thing stays in the author blogosphere- like that Wicked Pretty Things controversy from a few months back, or various racebending cover shenanigans. I've never seen one big enough to hit the mainstream news.

In which case it's surprising that it got to the Guardian. Me too but I'm even more pleased.

I think it's safe to say that ontd_p will amplify most gay stories.

Oh, Orson Scott Card. I remember when they used to laugh at you on fandom_wank. Stay pressed.
