Yeah, I paused on an "emerging Christian movement" when it's been going on for decades. I don't know that it's larger or stronger now but I do know that this has been a difficult message to get out. People need to know what these people really represent.

i really believe someone as crazy religious as Perry is, does not have a chance in America, because while it's everywhere and he seems to be the loudest, I just can't believe, come voting day, that the normal American wouldn't shy away from that sort of extremism.

but i'm an idealist, so i unno.

that is true. my only hope is that a) Perry makes W look like an Agnostic with how craycray he is and b) people hopefully REMEMBER how horrible that was.

I don't hold out hope, what with the number of "sorry yet?" Obama logo bumperstickers I see around my neighborhood. It's my dreadful fear that there are enough people who are scared by a black man in power (even one center-right as O) that they'll gleefully and without remorse vote a human shitstain like Perry into office.
