While I've mostly been watching this scandal unfold with what John Oliver called Schadenfreudegasm, this story just sickens me. Why would the medical condition of a 4 month old be news the public needed to know? The fact that people are making this a partisan issue is disgusting. *stink-eye at twitter* How would they all react if it had been Cameron's kids?

This doesn't refute Brown's accusations either. How would a member of the public get private medical records legitimately (answer: they couldn't, that's illegal) and why would they give them to The Sun? Because they were a parent of a child with cystic fibrosis? Don't play the concern troll card here, you sickos.

I'm obviously rather biased but I don't believe a word The Sun publishes on this story. It reeks of uncovered guilt, desperate muckraking and the same old politicised crap we've come to expect from them. This story was NOT in the public interest, the children of politicians are not fair game, even if they parade them around (which the Browns never did.) Anyone that thinks Brown is using this story for political gain is a sicko in my mind.

*rant over*

All of this. I can imagine another parent on the ward knowing if Fraser Brown was being treated there, but where is the evidence to give to the hacks at the Sun? Nowhere, in that case.
Also schadenfreudegasm is the best word ever.

I can imagine that too but them getting hold of hard evidence to just hand over to a tabloid is nigh on inconceivable to me. Either they had someone undercover there or they did it the old fashioned phone hacking way.

Isn't it? I intend to use it frequently now.

Either it's shitty journalism or criminality. Rock, place, hard.

It really makes me feel ill that many of its readers will probably swallow every word of this obvious bullshit, thanks in no small part to the extreme lack of coverage of this whole scandal in the Sun thus far. Urgh.
