I contend that Seattle has more actual hippies than hipsters.

I dunno. There are a ton of hipsters, especially if you include rich Eastside kids.

As an Eastside rich kid, I'd be offended if it wasn't 100% true.

This is DEFINITELY missing Riverwest (a neighborhood of Milwaukee), Wisconsin. I live a block or two away from a co-op, a bike shop, a hipster cafe, a hookah lounge, a dance club with a monthly retro night, and probably some art galleries I'm forgetting about. Y'all have no idea.

From the bit I've seen of it, Madison's got a pretty thick hipster infestation, too.

Madison has always struck me as more hippie than hipster, but I haven't spent much time in Madison since 2006.

Madison is a little too earnest to draw hipsters in huge droves, except student hipsters going to the university.

They need to add Long Beach, California to this as well.

The thing about hipsters is not the different traits they have. Individually these traits are usually kind of cool.

Its the sum of the traits and the douchey result that bug the shit out of me.The unsound, menancing farm raised fishery that wrecks havoc on the very thing its supposed to save. Its the Mixed Martial Arts of elitist douchism. Thus I feel the need to punch out of principle. Its like Captain Planet calling up thrift stores asking for descriptions of clothes while being too cool for Radiohead playing as hold music.

I want my bar back, you patchworks!

Ithaca, NY needs to be added to this list so badly. I go to college in the land of the hipsters.

Also Baltimore? I am just confused by this.
