Yes, this entry may or may not be an attempt to wash away the stank left from a certain study about the attractiveness of black women.

Interesting.

White men view her least favorably? I am so very shocked.

Black women view her as intelligent (the most?).

I hope this is wank free and turns into an epic Michelle Obama appreciation post.

My brother and I laughed out loud when we got to that bit.

I hope this is wank free and turns into an epic Michelle Obama appreciation post.

This is very good news, and I'm glad you shared your perspective. I know I'm always going on about what the current administration is doing wrong from the perspective of foreign and domestic policy, but I don't think one can question the incredibly huge role that the Obama family is playing in reshaping (and challenging) opinions about black USians- maybe even black people and POC as a whole? And Michelle Obama is a really good person overall, I get the impression. A development like this isn't one that the administration's critics- even on the left, perhaps especially on the left- have a right to take a verbal crap on.

I don't know how trued this is but I love this story:

One night President Obama and his wife Michelle decided to do something out of routine and go for a casual dinner at a restaurant that wasn’t too luxurious. When they were seated, the owner of the restaurant asked the President’s Secret Service if he could please speak to the First Lady in private. They obliged and Michelle had a conversation with the owner. Following this conversation President Obama asked Michelle, “Why was he so interested in talking to you?” She mentioned that in her teenage years, he had been madly in love with her. President Obama then said, “So if you had married him, you would now be the owner of this lovely restaurant,” to which Michelle responded, “No. If I had married him, he would now be the President.”
