'Kate' is an extraordinarily brave young woman. If she decides she wants to continue as an RAAF officer - and it is, of course, her choice - she'll probably make a very, very good one, and I hope to God that anyone who makes a similar complaint in future has an easier time of it than she did.
In fairness to the ADF, though, the guys in question probably didn't pick up those attitudes at ADFA - they'd been there less than two months, and almost certainly figured they could get away with it before they arrived. This is one of those things that Australian society as a whole needs to re-examine a lot more closely, not just the bits of Australian society that wear camouflage to work; quite a lot of Australia outside the Defence Force bubble isn't actually much better at dealing with issues of women, their sexualities and consent.
