It's James Bond in drag.
No, really.

Bit of info about the commercial So, hopefully this will, allowing for time zones, post around March 8th, 2011, which is not only International Women's Day, it's the 100-year anniversary of the creation of the holiday in 1911.
Not sure how effective this commercial really is, but it was amusing. Reminds me a bit of the
Girls on Film project (which I could have sworn we discussed here, but I can't find it. Maybe I'm remembering the
mothership post?) I remember a discussion of female!Captain Kirk and the issues of promiscuity, and a female!James Bond would definitely face the same issues.
I wish I had a decent article on International Women's Day to go along with this, but it's alte, I'm tired, and I'm sure someone else will find one.
The Guardian did a roundtable on modern-day feminism that was interesting, though much of it's probably familiar territory to most of ontd_p.
(PS, mods, if the video itself is too thin for its own post, I'd be happy to add it into someone else's submission.)
