Except she's not poor, uneducated, she has a job, and doesn't need assistance.

So....

What point, that women are shitty role models if they sleep before marriage and *gasp* decide to have kids WHEN THEY AIN'T MARRIED? I notice that he's not berating the fiance in this case, just Natalie. And why the hell is he comparing her to single mothers in poor situations when she's A) NOT single and B) NOT in a situation where she wouldn't be able to care for herself or the kid?

He's using her as a whipping boy for 'omg, the girls going astray, noooooo' rhetoric.

Again, how? Because she's pregnant? And she's not single. :\ Unless I'm missing the part where she's running around screaming "I THINK EVERYBODY SHOULD GET KNOCKED UP ASAP WHEE!", apparently her 'glamorizing' is about the same as 'happening to exist'.

And why does America still demonize single parenthood in the 21st fucking century, jfc.

BRRRRZT. We demonize single MOTHERS.

Single FATHERS, on the other hand, are fucking HEROES who probably saved their child from an evil monster who wanted to ABORT THEM.

Except that she's not single. She's in a committed relationship and they will both be raising the child.

Or he knows and doesn't care. I've seen the unsettling tendency from conservatives towards writing the male factor off unless they're married, because obviously no man would ever stay and help with child rearing unless the ball and chain of legal marriage is involved. *grits teeth*

Yeah, it's like the Dan Quayle thing about Murphy Brown choosing to have a baby being a "lifestyle choice" thing all over again.

Fuck you, Huckabee.
