Wisconsin Senate OKs arrest of absent Dems for contempt

The Wisconsin Senate has passed a resolution calling for police to take 14 Democrats into custody for contempt after they fled to Illinois to avoid voting on a union rights bill, the Associated Press reports.

its illigle to deny a quorum, i think. like holding up a court case causes contempt of court, even if your an officer of said court...

Which is exactly why they crossed the state line in the first place. They can't detain anyone unless one of the 14 comes back into WI, so as long as they're out of state this is no more threatening to them than the loss of their parking spaces. Now all they have to do is not cave.

I'm wondering if this will help ENSURE they stay away. No one wants to be forcefully detained by the police.
