Cable removed after horses drop dead

A section of electricity cable has been removed from the paddock at England's Newbury racecourse where two horses died on Saturday after apparently being electrocuted.

You might want to edit the source link to indicate there's a photo of a horse going down there, just as an additional secondary trigger warning.

Poor horses :-(. But damn -- they're lucky they didn't end up with some dead people too. I can't bring myself to check out the source.

It shows a horse in the distance beginning to collapse. I've seen worse images of animal suffering. If I didn't have the context, I would think "That's not good..."

Yeah, its not that bad by itself, but clicked through and wasn't expecting a picture at all. The combo may be a bit much for some people.

I'm actually quite horrified they allowed that one race to go on. The horse that ran was found with burn marks in its mouth afterwards according to what I read - how could they not stop this and have them all checked out thoroughly?

Also, that's the clearest picture I've seen of that horse going down, it's actually really chilling when you know exactly what's happening. Ugh, so upsetting.
