Yeah, I hear it's not too hard to pick up.

And try learning "continental" style - much easier than English style, less extraneous motion.

Wow, English style looks so difficult. I love continental, it's not very difficult.

Don't you have to be good at math? I'm not good at math :(

For knitting?!?!? No. Good with patterns helps, but math is NOT required.

oh nooooo. you might have to do some multiplication every once if you make your own patterns and have to do measurements, but that's about it.

lol have you watched in videos on it? that's how i had to learn and sometimes if you practice on big needles, it's helpful.

This is the way I do it - it's not "technically" correct, but you really cannot tell the difference in the stitch once it's done, so I don't see why we shouldn't do it the easy way!

Start with crocheting. Crocheting is super, duper fun!

I learned from knitting.about.com a couple weeks ago, and already finished my first scarf. It even came out decently.

Oh wow. I've been looking for some knitting instruction again (as I immediately forgot how to after I knitted my first scarf). Going to save this to favorites.

I have about almost 20 skeins of yarn that need used.

You're deluding yourself if you think learning to knit will decrease the amount of skeins you own ;)

I learned from KnittingHelp.com, which has tons of videos for both continental and English knitting.

And Ravelry is the most comprehensive resource for knitters/crocheters anywhere on the 'net.
