1. Since when does ANYONE in office listen to freshmen??

2. Freeze government? Go ahead. Make our day. You'll piss off your entire constituency with your grandstanding.

Since most of them ran on a lean, mean, anti-government ( except for the military and pro-corporate infrastructure), why should they care if the government closes down?
As long as corporations get their hand outs, and the military spending keeps chugging along to support certain corporations ( worse than gangs in some aspects, as in whatever Blackwater is calling themselves this month)...everything is a-okay.

Yes, but if they shut down the government, they'll piss off all those SS recipients who sit around in retirement and watch, listen, and believe Faux News, Limbaugh, and Beck.
You mess with their paychecks, and you will be out of office.

Even if they don't really need the money, it'll piss them off (looking at YOU, my dear mother!).

Frankly, I'm being extremely cynical and yet optimistic about the whole mess.

The worse it gets, and the more the opponents of the Republicans and the right wing point out just who is doing the jerking now, the more people will be out in droves at the next election, to vote their butts out.
