A) I'm so glad they fully admit and publicize that correlation =/= causation.

B) Based on my own experiences with wine, it definitely does not promote monogamy in this chick. ;)

I think it's more a "those who drink together, stay together" - not drink apart from their partner with temptation all around, lol.

Ooooh. I think I just had a researchgasm or something. I like how the writer gets the fun of playing with a spurious correlation, but actually improves World Suck by admitting it's spurious and throwing some knowledge about the realities behind it at the reader in a quite accessible manner.
