...because she was selected to make McCain look good by contrast (inciting racist hatred of Obama with a perky smile on her face so McCain could jump in and be all ((srs face)) "no! He's a good family man!") and she loved her job so much she just can't quit?

Considering he spends a good chunk of the op-ed implying we should be nicer to people like Palin when they mouth off about "blood libel" and "pogroms" and such, no, I don't think Bigoted Grandpa John has actually gone anywhere.

Yeah, it's easy to appeal for consideration when you're the one being targeted, but where was all this fellow feeling when he was/ is/ will be condemning latin@s, gays rights to serve, etc? *hmph*
