"You have every reason to be proud."

My only issue is, he doesn't direct kids to any actual resources, severely limiting the usefulness of this video. Overall, though, he has a good message.

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent".

That applies to gay and lesbian kids, just as it applies to airline passengers.

LMFAO okay then.

Sorry, your analogy just... came out of nowhere.

I know, I know... odd comparison.

I like ol' Joe, but I'm not happy with government double-speak - from anyone. He gives a heart warming speech to kids here. That's good. But he's still in favor of them being randomly pornscanned and groped "for their protection".

For me, this does not compute.

Why bring that issue up in this thread?

Sorry. I didn't know I was only allowed to express adoration and join the usual lovefest. I thought pointing out a discrepancy was allowed; but I guess not.

That wasn't even what I was getting at.

I mean, why bring up airline passengers in a thread that should primarily be about homophobic bullying of children?

Yeah, clearly all we want is a lovefest rather than sticking to the issue of gay bullying or the It Gets Better campaign.

I'm not sure about the love-in characterization you make; as of late this commm has been nothing but regularly ripping apart this admin for not doing enough on LGBTQ rights. Did not the very OP post the video with tempered approval and a critique? And it was followed by comments that were simply and flatly unimpressed with the vid, not praising/defending it.

Anyway, I'd wager the real issue here is how your initial comment came off as a bewildering non sequitur. Most people do appreciate making observations about policy discrepancies...just more so, civil rights discrepancies that would be directly relevant to whatever topic was discussed (in this case, LGBTQ civil rights).

I mean, it'd very likely be just as bewildering to people to see someone bring up LGBTQ civil rights in a post about dodgy airport security measures.
