I may be showing me young age here but my first response was Pat Sajak had a show? I only know him as the Wheel of Fortune guy.

CBS was trying to cut in to Johnny Carson's ratings and tried out several late night shows in his timeslot. It was a colossal failure. CBS wouldn't try it again until they landed David Letterman years later.
