Why? I'm serious about this, not trying to be trolish or anything. It just strikes me as a blatant double standard, even if there are much less jews in France than Muslims.

Trying to be very careful in my response here, so I am keeping it short to not spill out pent-up rage on this topic that, since you seem sincere, you don't deserve.

This measure is wrong. Banning religious practices that are not inherently harmful or oppressive is wrong, France has a SUPER LONG record of being horrible on these issues, to both Muslims AND Jews, and there is a VERY LARGE anti-circumcision movement on the internet that is violently hateful, anti-Semitic, and patronizing in their language
