Let's also not forget that whole ACORN fiasco. And the Shirley Sherrod fiasco. And the Alan-Simpson-gets-to-keep-his-job fiasco. And the fact he appointed a Honeywell CEO to the fiscal commission, who believes the best way to cut DOD spending is to make the troops pay for their health care and get no more raises. And the fact that honestly, I get that "oh things have to go a certain way, blah blah blah", but I think his stance on gay marriage is pretty much crap.

Personally, I'm less than impressed with this administration. Bending over backward for the GOP - who has made it apparent, over and over and over and OVER, that they're not going to work with him at ALL - while having the press secretary blast the "professional left" and the chief of staff calling people "fucking retarded"? It really doesn't speak well to his alleged "political savvy", IMO.

How about this shit? "Obama Wants a Bush Crony Appointed as a Top Drug Enforcer -- Reformers Push Hard to Change His Mind" It's counter to what the states are trying to do. Does no one want to tax marijuana? Please explain to me the logic behind this one, this is the single weirdest appointment of this Administration.

And yeah, how many more weird freaking terms do we need? "Professional Left"...? Big fat groan.

I can agree with that.

I'm not overly impressed with either HCR or the financial reform, but ... honestly, what NEEDED to be passed would never get passed, so ... yeah.

I think more of my complaints are with the government as a whole, not bits and pieces. The Senate strikes me as completely useless these days. There are too many things in place where nothing gets done. The entire thing is basically bought and paid for (even more so now since the Citizens United case). The two party system is strangling the country, IMO.

So basically he's doing a less extreme version of what Clinton had to do to get reelected in '96. Awesome.

Oh, [most] Dems. You slay me.

Well, yeah, it's not very impressive. D: But then I remember that the other option was McCain.

Obama, please be a flip-flopper. Flip-flop on your commitment to "reaching across the aisle". Why? Because they sure as shit aren't reaching back. In fact, they're biting your hand till it bleeds. Withdraw that hand, and use your other to punch them in the face. That hand is metaphorical, of course. And the punch in the face should be with adopting a more progressive agenda with regards to the issues where you tried to be nice. Sometimes you just can't take the high road or apologize anymore.
