I keep looking at those anti-"mosque" times and try desperately not to get horribly angry- anger does little to stop the hate- but it's hard.

Quite a few of those signs hold obvious bigotry and racist elements, and the blindness these people have of what they're promoting just makes me sick.

Amazing how the people screaming about "Sharia law" coming to America are trying to implement Biblical Law....

When I first read the caption, I thought it said he was yelling at the anti-community center protesters and I was :D

but then I re-read it and saw what it actually said and I was :'(

He's a child. He shouldn't be caught up in hate - not this kind. Not something this visceral :(

Seriously. That kid was probably a month or two old on 9/11. He has no concept of what happened that day. Jesus Christ, indoctrination. :(

In that case...yeah I can see why it would be emotive, though.

So I just want to tell the story of my friends dad, who's fairly conservative on most issues, but at dinner the other night he told me this story.

"So I was at the golf course, and I just pissed this guy off when we were talking about that mosque they're going to build in New York (me: You, piss someone off, Joe? I am (not) shocked!). This guy was going off on how insensitive it was and I just asked him 'What about Mt. Rushmore?' 4 White Guys on Indian land? That is an insult.

And the other guy said 'Well, I've never thought about that.'

Then I said, 'And what about that stupid Crazy Horse monument they're building? Stupid white people, have you ever seen an Indian point? No! Because its insulting.'"

Joe then went on a 5 minutes rant on why white people are dumb and short-sighted and put extra chilies in my corn so I would cry.

A policeman stands near a mannequin dressed in an Arab-style head scarf and perched atop a model of a missle, a display built by opponents of an Islamic cultural center and mosque planned near Ground Zero on August 22, 2010 in New York City.

NO TO MUSLIM ICBM CENTER

Also can't believe protesters used Springsteen's Born in the USA. You are so fucking stupid it hurts.

THEY THINK THAT SONG IS PATRIOTIC!!!! I swear, some Americans must make all of you so embarrassed. I speak English as a second language and I know that song is critical of war, specifically the Vietnam war and how the US didn't recognize the veterans/didn't take care of them.

And they use that other one too "American Woman" and I'm like... really? REALLY? ANYTHING WITH AMERICA IN IT IS PATRIOTIC?!
