The thing that scares the everloving hell out of me to imagine is whatever was on his computer that made him so defensive about his privacy that he had to beat and strangle someone just for touching the device.

Honestly, I think it was probably completely innocent. He goes into the bathroom or something, and she probably just wanted to check her email real quick. Probably wasn't looking for anything, at least.

Speaking for myself, it never would've dawned on me that there would be terrifying secrets or something to dig for on every laptop I see.

He's either 1) so completely off his rocker that he would kill someone for touching his stuff even if there was nothing to hide, or 2) he was already a guy with people looking for him and a high level of drama in his life and had stuff on his computer so terrible to discover that, in his mind at least, killing her was the only reasonable conclusion to reach in that scenario. Both just squick me the hell out, and I'm so sorry that someone had to die before the discovery of either of those elements.
