It's going to be a log jam coming out of the primary season and after a bitter fight to the death, no one's going to have any money or credibility to attack Harry Reid.
I know this sounds incredibly bigoted to say, but the second someone says that they're a Scientologist or supporter of Scientology, they instantly lose most or all of their credibility in my mind.
Don't worry about my reaction to your sentiment. The icon I use ("Uncle V wants you!") is one I picked up from the Scientology-mocking community on JournalFen. It's not just my political icon. I also have an icon with xenu.net on it.
It's just that reading about what goes on on that boat of theirs, the coercing people to give all their money to them, and all the crap about separating a newborn from its mother and feeding it barley water rather than milk and formula just really makes me sort of--I don't know the right word, but it makes me very distrustful of the whole thing. It seems very exploitative and abusive. But then again, any religion can be that way in the wrong hands.
