So it's dumb and dumber teaming up to make sure the next generation is as stupid as them. Wonderful.

I still don't understand why the scientific community feels so threatened by this nonsense. I stand by my previous beliefs that by smoking the hard creationists and climate change deniers out of the underground, people will realize their arguments amount to nothing. You have no faith in the critical thinking capabilities of students.

Because this sort of nonsense is not teaching critical thinking. The very notion that you would present "evidence" of creationism along side the evidence for evolution is ridiculous. If people were actually being taught critical thinking, this creationism bullshit would have died out a long time ago, and global warming deniers would not be nearly so prevalent.

Agreed. And the problem is exacerbated by the fact that the global warming deniers (f'rinstance) are using the rhetoric of debate and critical thinking to try and wodge in ideas that do not actually stand up to peer review and proper critical evaluation against the evidence. Ergo, to the person in the street, the non-deniers' case may well be weakened.

Agreed. Debate is the answer. Every generation must confront the ideas and theories in an open forum. Anything else is just the same kind of enforced dogma the Catholic church used in the middle ages.

SURPRISINGLY ENOUGH, the reason for its rejection was "already posted." I was extra worried that it would be approved because it was about International Women's Day, but it was written in a very "HAY GUYS HAY I'M BUYING THIS BOOK ABOUT WOMEN!" style, instead of like ... an actual non-"I'm writing this covertly while at work" submission.
