South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford has openly criticized President Obama’s abandonment of the Yucca Nuclear Waste facility in Nevada and is seeking legal recourse. Obama’s decision leaves the Aiken, South Carolina nuclear power site without any place to dump the waste, along with many other nuclear power facilities. Some of the waste was generated over 50 years ago and still needs a place for disposal.
