You know what would have saved them a lot of money? Not moving abusive priests from parish to parish. Did they really think that no one was going to sue them?

I read a Vanity Fair article years ago and the attitude re: moving bad priests was, "It's a poor parish; nobody there makes any trouble." That's a quote. The picked disadvantaged areas deliberately, because they believed the people would be too meek to object to their kids being raped.

I am so worn out with rage at the Church over this.
