I was more busy cracking up thinking, "JESUS SPARKLES!", though I did appreciate what they were trying to do with the story.

Just... not the special effects. What the hell were they thinking? It was almost as bad as the angels lifting him up into the air with fire exploding around him.

That is the only episode of new Who that I refuse to even acknowledge as canon or rewatch ever again. Just... no. No.

I think it does raise some good thematic points, though the problem is, RTD had raised the same exact points in previous and later episodes, and done so in a much less heavy-handed manner (including Jesus!Doctor, which... just, No).

Still, Astrid was adorable, London being abandoned was really clever, and I loved that the annoying guy survived.

Though, yeah, I don't blame you for disliking it at all.
