Republican Snowe Says She’ll Vote for Baucus Health-Care Plan
Republican Senator Olympia Snowe said she will vote for the U.S. Senate Finance Committee’s health-care overhaul plan to cut medical spending and cover millions of uninsured people.
Snowe, 62, of Maine, had been viewed as the member of her party most likely to support a health-care initiative. Her vote may clear the way for other Republicans to back the effort.
“Is this bill all that I would want? Far from it,” Snowe said today, though she added, “When history calls, history calls.”

Not the bill I wanted, but it's a step. I hope she's down with the opt-out which looks like the best compromise so far.
