In that first map, I love how Illinois is totally just chillin' in the middle of all those red states, not even pretending to be embarrassed. And because it doesn't care, all the other red states just assume it's supposed to be at the party and aren't kicking it outside with the rest of the blues. :D

Yeah, that's because even if the entire Republican party banded together, they STILL could not trump the Chicago Political Machine. It's THAT entrenched.
