What about the 18-year-old girl who may get Plan B for her 15-year-old sophomore friend?

LOL.

It's going to happen.

ikr? nearly all the people i know who have used plan b got an 18-year-old senior to get it for them. there's no magical barrier between 15-year-olds and legal adults.

uh, I think that anyone legally able to consent to sex should be able to get Plan B without a prescription. Yes, even minors.

"Don't tell me high school dynamics won't play in here. The boyfriend will talk his girlfriend into unprotected sex with the promise of buying the "morning after pill" the next day. Any 17-year-old boy will be able to buy this drug, just as any 17-year-old girl will."

that happens in college, too. if girls are going to be that stupid, let them. it's not my problem.

however, i hate the idea of much younger girls (such as middle school age) having access. that just seems wildly inappropriate... as they probably haven't been properly informed by that age.

probably should have been more specific. i have no problem with seventh graders using plan B if absolutely necessary, but i don't think they should be able to without at least seeing a doctor.

i explained why here: http://community.livejournal.com/ontd_political/2904913.html?thread=173931601#t173931601

Oh yes, god forbid seventeen year old girls be able to avoid pregnancy! Without their parents' knowledge! Because god knows, all parents would be totally cool with buying their kids Plan B, right? ...right?

No chance of the girl asking and their parents punishing them, beating them, disowning them, locking them up for having sex? Okay then. Guess that's settled.

(Frankly, this guy sounds like the "lock them in a room until they're 25" type.)
