Well, say goodbye to well educated Oklahoman children. Creationism is only one step away.

Creationism is only one step away.

Sad but true. Our state legislature already decided it was necessary to introduce bills calling to investigate the University of Oklahoma for allowing Richard Dawkins to speak there about OMGEVOLUTION. *facepalm*

Wait, WHAT?

Good grief. Seriously?

I'm sorry, I'm just really having trouble comprehending this, since I was laboring under the impression that colleges were there to EDUCATE people, and generally an EDUCATION entails more than one side of an argument.

Yup. This is what our esteemed legislators consider a productive use of their time and our money.

At least the Gov's going to veto that stupid stem-cell research ban bill.

....Why have I decided to bow to monetary threats from my grandparents and go to college in Oklahoma? I DON'T WANT TO GO TO COLLEGE HERE. I WANT TO GO TO COLLEGE SOMEWHERE ELSE.

My teachers (even my obviously Republican ones) are up in arms about this. They're terrified, and they should be. Because while our Governor is a Democrat, I call him a DINO. He'll probably sign the bill into law.
