I know! Someone on a site I'm on had helped the crew at the Japan race and like he posted about the work for next season...then 3 days later oh, there's no more team. God if anything should be quitting racing it's every NASCAR team this isn't fair.
Alternate theory is that they can afford the team, but didn't necessarily want to anymore, and this is the perfect opportunity for them to pull out since sales are down.
My boyfriend is and uhh I feel bad because I got this awesome shirt back from BAR Honda and I planned to give him it today and I don't think that's a good gift right now hahaha.
I am sorry that you will miss the Formula 1 Racing. :( It sucks to lose a hobby like that.
It seems like a logical step, to me, though... Why spend a ton of money on gas and engine parts and salaries, etc, when you could focus your energies and monies on something productive?
Well a lot of what they did in F1 in the past has helped shape their cars. The technology from their F1 cars does trickle down into their road cars. I still have the American Le Mans series! They actually use other fuels than gasoline so it's easier for them to exist compared to Formula 1. Plus they have lots of sponsors...lots of weird sponsors.
I'm really tired of people calling it pollution because guess what it's still going on. Unlike NASCAR, F1 is actually useful technology that goes into road cars. There are half as many cars, and they do not do these 300 mile races, nor do they race every week. Sorry for taking it out on your comment about this but I'm just sick of reading it.
By that I mean sponsors for the car, like you have the Ferrari team getting money from Shell, Honda has no outside sponsors so they have been paying for their team all themselves, rather than any outside companies also supporting them with money.

I'm lost as to why having a lot of sponsors means Formula 1 should keep on going, though.
