Wow - I didn't know the gap was so big... And Erica Garner would fall under this statistic.

Another thing that universal health care would likely have an impact on.

Universal health care would have a huge impact. I do think it would be important, in order to succeed in eliminating this gap/inequity, for the US to NOT reproduce the pattern observed in certain countries which do have universal health care
